She's six months and it's crazy to think that for half a year now my life seems to have stopped. I don't have much to show for these past few months, but this beautiful baby girl. We have loved watching her "grow like a bean." She is such a happy girl, still so peaceful and in love with her brother, no one can make her laugh like he does. I hope that the next years of my life don't pass as quickly as these last months, but sadly, I think they might. I am going to have to get used to a new normal.

Fall Leaves
We have had the most beautiful Fall. Boy, have we been lucky! We went up the canyon for a picnic in the leaves. It got dark a little earlier than we thought, but we had time to snap a few pics on that gorgeous night. Somehow, that little time that we were there in the beauty of the mountains completely recharged me. What a wonderful time of year!
Kindergarten Boy
Brooks started Kindergarten. He loves it. Kindergarten has changed both our lives. Brooks loves Mr. Holt and thinks school is the greatest. I have had my moments of missing him, but love what a big boy he has become. There is something so exciting about being in school. I am thrilled he loves it like he does, I know it's just the beginning of so much school to come.
On his first day of school, I got a little teary for a minute and Brooks said "Mom, don't worry. I don't have to go. . . I can just stay at home with you." I am so glad he went, no more tears here!
St. George
We had a great stay with friends in St. George a couple of weeks ago. We all had so much fun! The end came much to soon.
Avery, Cohen, Emerson, Ethan and Brooks at the bounce house almost all to ourselves.
Such a fun pool complete with "infant area" and all.
Ethan, Alexis, Avery, Morgan and Brooks. Buddies!
Thanks for such a great stay. Here's to next time.

Backyard Boys Club
4 Months Old
Miss Morgan is four months old and growing so fast. She is getting so strong and still sleeping so well. The newborn days seem to have come and gone in an instant. She is such a peaceful girl, happy and often laughing at her brother. She has made this the most amazing summer. I think she might be the best baby ever! Happy four months baby girl!

Summertime . . .
. . . And the living's easy!
We have had a great time this summer. We have had so much fun these last few weeks, staying super busy. We have had quite a few pool days, which produced my favorite picture of Morgan yet. Just look at those beautiful blue eyes!
My dear friends threw a party for Morgan and I. It was a wonderful day. Look at those cute cookies, they are little carriages. Many of my favorite people came to celebrate Morgan. It really meant a lot to me.
We went to San Diego this last week for the Utah Bar Convention. We had a great time. We went to Sea World. We spent some time on Coranado island. This little buggy-bike was our mode of transportation for a while. It was much harder than it looked, but very fun.

We spent the day at the most beautiful beach. Morgan had the right idea. Is there a better way to enjoy the beach? I think not!
Just diggin a hole.
The best part was spending time with fun friends. Wish we could go back.
We even got to have a bonfire and roast marshmallows on the beach with my brother and his fiance's great family who were there as well. Such a fun time.
Summer has been magical so far and sadly seems to be flying by. But, we are loving every minute!

Ch-ch-changes!
Morgan has grown. She just seems to be getting bigger everywhere. She has the cutest little cheeks, she is starting to get little rolls at the top of her legs and arms and she keeps getting longer. She is finally fitting into some of the smaller 0-3 month clothes. She is on a pretty good schedule. She eats, has some awake time, then sleeps. For the last few nights, she has slept for 5-6 hours, can you stand it?! She is such a peaceful baby. She isn't very fussy. She is a sweet girl and so far, her temperment is the one thing that hasn't changed.
Morgan is starting to smile. She and Bryan have a special place in the living room and he takes her there often after work. She loves him and gives him lots of smiles there. She really comes alive. Her eyes get wide and she stares right at him. She seems to pay more attention to Bryan than anyone else, she tracks him all the time, really.
Brooks and I were reading a book with Morgan and she started smiling and cooing and Brooks was so excited, he just started laughing and couldn't stop. It was such a sweet moment, I am so glad he was a part of it. This is such a fun time.
Brooks just finished preschool. I was sad to see such a great thing come to an end. He had the most wonderful teachers, Miss Madelyn and Miss Liz. They love Brooks and know him well. He had such a great time in the yellow room this year at Wasatch Preschool.
And here he is with some of his favorite friends, Wyatt and Claire. We loved sharing this year with these two sweet kids. Brooks is lucky to have such great friends.
So on to the next. Summertime, we're a waitin'! If only the temperatures would agree. Here's hoping that the next post will include some outside pics of sun and warm summer fun.

Morgan Arrives!!!
The mist incredible blessing has come our way. We adopted a sweet baby girl, Morgan Josephine Massey, Wednesday, April 27. We brought her home just two days old. Her peaceful spirit is such a joy to have in our home. We couldn't be happier and either can Brooksie. He has prayed for a baby for such a long time. . . Many prayers have been answered.

He's Five!
He's five and this was a really hard one to swallow. I believe it is some sort of right of passage that I not at all ready for. Five is big! No more baby. He is growing into such a little guy. But in each day that he grows, my heart grows with him. He is the joy of my world. He is curious, curious, curious, smart, chatty, concerned with others, busy, energetic, full of life, sensitive, thoughtful, thorough, stubborn, sweet.
Brooks told Bryan he was having a hard time sleeping, so Bry taught him how to count sheep. He made sure Brooks understood and told him he would leave so he could give it a try. About 15 seconds later, Brooks came out of his room, Bryan asked him why he didn't try counting sheep like they had talked about? Brooks just said, "I did, Dad. They all jumped at the same time!"
I love you, dear Brooks. Thanks for being the light of my life.
